Meet Your Guides and Grow with Spirit

When I talk about Spirit, I am referring to all divine spirits in the Heavenly realms, including God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and angelic spirits and Ascended Masters of Light. When you take your first tentative steps in your spiritual evolution, and start to seek truth and enlightenment, you can connect directly to the divine and receive guidance from the Source.

Communicating with lower spirits is exceptionally easy, and when you first begin to develop your spiritual gifts, you will probably experience several interactions with lesser spirits. These are spirits you should ignore and banish from your presence because there is no true value available in communicating with them. Working with and inviting lesser spirits into your life is definitely not recommended!

In the beginning of your spiritual evolution, you are at very high risk of deception from lower spirits if you do not test the spirits and make sure that you know precisely what type of spirit you're dealing with. When you know how to defend yourself spiritually and can be certain that you're working with divine spirits, then you can move onto the next level and meet your spirit guide or guardian angel.

Your guardian angel has been with you all your life and knows you better than you know yourself. Your angel has the benefit of God's perspective on you as well as the perspective gained by observing and subtly guiding you throughout your life. Your guardian angel will be eager to interact with you more, and you can easily develop a strong relationship with your guardian. Your angels can advise you in your spiritual and emotional growth, help you see the best solutions to your troubles, and guide you to the right opportunities to enhance your spiritual evolution.

Start by aligning and balancing your chakras by using The First Alignment meditation song, or meditation techniques you've mastered. Once your energy is aligned and purified, you can open your Crown Chakra to connect directly with Spirit. When you've made the connection and can see your angel or spirit guide with your Third Eye, you can ask what name your guardian or guide prefers. Most often, your mind cannot fully comprehend the language of angels and you probably cannot speak your guardian's name, but you can give a nickname to your angels that's easy for you to say. Angels don't care so much about names and labels that people do, and they are just happy to have a stronger and closer relationship with you.

During your meditations with Spirit, you should talk and ask questions normally, just as you would with a human mentor or guidance counselor. You don't have to speak out loud if you think your family members might look at you funny, but if you feel comfortable you can talk to them with your regular speaking voice. You can also talk to Spirit in your thoughts by directing your thoughts and questions directly to your angel. If you use telepathy to communicate with Spirit, it may take longer for you to interpret and understand the telepathic answers you'll receive, but if you keep at it you'll get the hang of it in no time!

Keep a meditation notebook for writing in during your daily meditation sessions as you work with the Divine Alignment Meditation Method (you can download the sample edition and read the first two chapters for free). Write in your notebook before entering your meditative state, and make notes about the questions you want to ask your guardian angel. After you finish your 10 minute meditation, you should make notes about your communication with the angels and record any sense impressions, emotions, intuitive ideas and visions shown to you during your meditation.

When you're finished with your meditation, take a deep cleansing breath and relax for a few minutes afterward. Take in everything that you experienced and just let the emotions and enlightenment linger for a little while before you work to write it all down in your notebook. Your spiritual guidance will come through during your meditation as new ideas and inspiration, clairvoyant visions and remote viewing data, emotions, and even clairsentience. If you don't fully understand everything you saw, felt and experienced during your meditation, you might develop a deeper appreciation for it over time, so always make a point of recording everything from your meditations.

Feel free to share your experiences with transcendental meditation and angelic communication!

Tarot Reading: What do the cards really mean?

For a novice Tarot reader, the meaning of the cards is nearly as important as the meaning of life! Okay, I exaggerate a little, but it is true that novice Tarot readers devote countless hours of study to the individual meanings of all 78 Tarot cards, including their reversals. When the novice reader looks at other styles of Tarot decks, she will almost immediately see dramatic differences between what the companion book for one deck states is the meaning of a particular card, and another companion book for a different deck with an entirely different meaning defined. This will always lead the Tarot seeker to wonder, "What do the cards really mean?"

Do you need to understand the history of the Tarot to know what the cards truly mean? I find that the study of the origins and history of Tarot is definitely a worthwhile study, but it is not even slightly necessary for being able to read Tarot cards. In fact, the guidebook that accompanies most decks of Tarot cards isn't even necessary at all. In most cases the novice reader would do better to set the guidebook aside in the very beginning, and judge the messages of the Tarot cards by your personal reactions to them.

The only thing that anyone needs in order to use Tarot cards for divination and communication with guides or the Higher Self is an understanding of symbolism and archetypes in the collective unconscious. You will experience the best results with a Tarot deck that features artwork, symbolism and colours that are similar to your dream experiences. My dreams are always in vivid colour with feminine symbolism and a lot of astrology and elemental influences as well. I find the Gilded Tarot suits my needs the best, but you may find a different deck resonates with you better than the deck I picked for myself.

I love Aeclectic Tarot the best, and I use this online resource to check out new decks before I consider buying one. If you're interested in buying a deck for yourself, or replacing one that doesn't suit you well, you can browse the vast selection on this website and view images from each deck.

Spiritual Partnership and Submission

Your relationship with Spirit is the spiritual equivalent of a marriage or business partnership, which means that you work together for the highest good, but you might be wondering what dynamics this special relationship needs to have. The healthiest dynamic in your spiritual partnership depends greatly on the nature of your spirit partners.

God is not your spiritual equal and a partnership with the Creator requires reverence, worship, submission and servitude. Although you might perceive angels as being on a higher spiritual plane than you, God created the angels to serve mankind. Your relationship with angels is more balanced and should not include worship and submission. Treat them as you would treat your friends, in a balanced give-and-take dynamic (except that with human friendships you give to your friend in return, but with angels you are to give to God).

Spirit guides and Ascended Masters are on a higher plane than you, but they work to teach and assist you so that you may go forward and teach and assist others, and that makes your relationship with guides and Ascended Masters slightly more complex. Although angels can act as spirit guides, angels do not request anything of you and other spirit guides and the Ascended Masters ask that you serve other people as they (the guides and Masters) serve you. They will make it very clear to you when they want you to do something on their behalf for another person.

If you ignore the requests of your spirit guides and the Ascended Masters, your relationship with them may suffer for it. They might pull back from you and not provide as much guidance and assistance, and they could even choose to move on and work with someone who has a more willing heart and mind than you. However, when God or His angels communicate to you, it is never a demand that carries with it the threat of abandonment. You cannot have faith in your spirit guides or Ascended Masters the same way you do with God, which is why it is appropriate to worship the Creator and not any other spirit or being existing on the planes between you and God.

A simple way to look at the relationships with Spirit is that you could but are not likely to ever move to a lower spiritual plane yourself, so you do not worship spirits on lower planes (including angels) and you only give to them if you desire to. You have the ability to evolve and transcend to higher spiritual planes and be closer to the Creator (both in this life and after: you can become a spirit guide or Ascended Master), so you accept the service of spirits and beings on the planes between you and God and serve them when it does not conflict with your servitude to God. You can love and appreciate your other partners in Spirit, but you give your faith, reverence, and worship to God.
