Is mind-reading real or fake?
While most people think that mind reading is fake, a hoax, and the stuff of famous illusionists like Criss Angel and Houdini, as a psychic I can tell you that telepathy is definitely real. I experience telepathic communication in all of my close personal relationships with family members, friends, and loved ones, and I have also instructed gifted readers who have natural talents with telepathy.
Mind reading is more than mere body language and the direction a person glances when they answer your questions (although tells like that are certainly one way to read a person), it is a psychic ability that stems from the universal consciousness connecting all minds as one. Anyone who is interested in developing telepathic abilities can find instruction from truly gifted mystics and spiritualists who have been using mind reading abilities for many years, and some people are born with a natural talent and ease with telepathy.
You'll know that you're one of these people with a natural ability to read minds if you:
- you know what another person is going to say frequently before they actually say it
- you start talking about something and very often your friend is shocked and tells you he or she was just about to talk to you about that topic
- when someone is taking a long time to choose a word in their sentence, you almost always know the rest of the sentence before they can think of their word, and you frequently tell them the word they need (this is more than a good ability with vocabulary, especially when you're talking to someone who speaks a different language and they're struggling to say even the most simple concept in your mother tongue) especially if this often happens to you when you're talking on the telephone or over the internet
- you often hear people that you know talking about random things as you're falling asleep, even though your friends are not anywhere near you at the time, and when you tell them what you overheard, they report that was part of a conversation they had or something they were thinking about talking to you about

Why would anyone want to do that, Monica? Your thoughts aren't my business unless you choose to share them with me, and it would be blatantly sinful (or "unethical" if you prefer) for me to attempt to perceive them without your consent.

Matthew, thank you so much for your insightful comment and question! The issue of ethics and privacy with regards to psychic abilities is something that I'm very interested in and often spend time pondering during my meditations.
However, the fact that we are all connected means that thoughts are not especially private in the way that you meant in your comment. Your thoughts are not private--believers who have the Holy Spirit with them know that their thoughts are shared with God at all times.
Some people perceive that they are separated from God and separated from other people, but neither of these is true. We are all connected to one another and to the Creator. Learning to enhance the connections we share with other people can enhance our experiences, both spiritual and mundane.
The Lord knows the hearts and of all men, not merely those possessing His Spirit. And that is His sole right, I have no part in it - nor have I any longing for such a role. It seems prideful to me for anyone to feel entitled to the right to perceive the thoughts and feelings of another without their consent.
In fact, I am in no way persuaded that even Lucifer can know the thoughts of men outside of those thoughts which he inserts himself or which are willingly revealed to him.

On a side note, do you believe that telepathy is a trait finding its sole root in the individual, or is there a supplementary (or perhaps even more than supplementary) source?

I'm not sure that I understand exactly what you're asking. I do not think the ability comes from the self, the individual experiencing it, if that's what you meant. I believe that it's one of the spiritual gifts.
What I am asking is, do you believe that once this "gift" has been endowed upon the individual, is it a part of their specific being? Or is it part of a separate, distinct unit which is bonded to the individual?

First I need to be clear that I do not believe telepathy or any other spiritual gift is "endowed upon" an individual, but rather that the gifts of Spirit are unlocked in an individual. Psychic abilities are a facet of the spirit, and once an individual unlocks telepathy their mind becomes fully connected with Spirit. It is through this connection to the Creator as well as all life surrounding you that you are able to perceive the thoughts and unspoken ideas of other people. Telepathy is the result of connectedness, not a part of an individual the way that you suggested.
I apologize for my wording, Monica; you said it was a "gift" so I assumed it was given.
I believe you have, however, basically answered my query. While I'm not positive that I know what you mean by the "spirit" you are connecting to, the implication seems to be that this "gift" is not a natural attribute of the individual experiencing it - which was the nature of my question.
Forgive my incessant questioning... How is it that you are certain that this "spirit" is indeed the Creator, as you suggest? Could it not be a lesser spiritual entity?
i want to learn how to control the abilaties i have i found at least 2 or 3 things that happen sometimes will u help me control my abilaties?

Could it not be a lesser spiritual entity?" and this is certainly a valid concern because even Lucifer masquerades as an angel of light! I can only be certain of the Creator and His divine angels by testing the spirits, as taught in 1 John 4:1-3
"1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."
